Why Counseling?

Each one of us has been there at one time or another. Life’s challenges can become overwhelming. Whether a day to day issue or a major life crisis, it is natural for people to resort to their own resources in an attempt to work through the situation. Discouraged and exhausted we often find ourselves stuck or wanting to give up.

It is our belief people want to lead meaningful and fulfilling lives and seek to cultivate the best within themselves to enhance their experience of love, work and play. At Family to Family Counseling Services, we believe therapy calls for active participation and is a joint effort between the counselor and the client. Issues to be resolved will be worked on both during sessions and at home. The therapist’s role in this process is to assist individuals as they explore and solve problems according to their values and desired lifestyles. As part of the healing process, unpleasant aspects of life may be discussed which could trigger uncomfortable feelings like sadness, guilt, anger, frustration, loneliness and helplessness. However, working through these feelings and emotions will provide great benefits as a sense of awareness and wholeness develops. No situation is hopeless and we will walk with you as we assist you to become the person you were created to be..

Where Our Heart is

At Family to Family Counseling Services we offer a safe, non-judgmental environment to help individuals, couples and families sort and understand how events in life shape and impact who we are and assist with processing the steps necessary to identify and meet life goals, find inner peace, heal and restore relationships with self and others.
